Old Clothes, New Purpose: Why We Offer Free Pickups for Donations

We didn’t launch this program to impress anyone.

We launched it because we were tired — tired of seeing fast fashion brands flood the world with things they never planned to clean up. Tired of our own closets piling up with old clothes we didn’t have the heart to throw away. Tired of the silence between brands and the mess they leave behind.

So we did what we believe every responsible brand should: we built a system to take things back.

Here’s how it works:

When you're done with something — whether it’s from us or not — you can go to our Donate Portal, schedule a pickup, and we'll collect it from your doorstep. We use our regular logistics partners, and cover the cost.

The clothes go straight to the Goonj Center in Bangalore, where they’re sorted and redistributed with care. Not shredded. Not dumped. Passed on, properly.

If the piece you send back is a Crown & Era original, we’ll thank you with store credit. If it’s from another brand, we’ll still take it — because this isn't about marketing. It’s about clean exits.

But we need your help.

We ask that you only donate what’s wearable. No torn socks. No moldy shirts. This isn’t a landfill workaround. It’s a second chance for clothes someone else could still use — and we trust our community to treat it that way.

Our tags remind every buyer that this option exists. Quietly. Without banners or bold claims. Because we believe real responsibility doesn’t shout. It acts.

This is just the beginning.

By 2026, we hope to expand this to home linens — because the problem isn’t limited to T-shirts. But for now, this is how we start cleaning up our part of the mess.

And if you’ve ever used this program — thank you. You’re the reason we’ll keep offering it. Even when it doesn’t make us money. Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when no one notices.

Because that’s the kind of brand we said we’d build.
